EHEIM SUBSTRATpro. EHEIM SUBSTRATpro is a high-quality organic filter medium with a large settlement area for bacterial cultures and high performance. Substrate can be constructed in one or more layers. It is a highly porous filter material made of sintered quartz. The surface structure offers excellent colonization conditions for the important cleaning bacteria. The adhesive surface is 450 m² per liter. This causes a dense bacterial lawn to form.
The high number of bacteria can reduce the peak nitrite load better and the service life of the filter material can be extended.
EHEIM SUBSTRATpro can be washed out and reused. Is suitable for both fresh and sea water.
